The Chattanooga Bass Association is a non-profit community service organization. Chattanooga Bass Association was founded by community leaders in 1976 and was designed to offer a top quality open fishing circuit to Chattanooga and surrounding areas; while enhancing Chattanooga’s economic growth and recreational potential.
Being a non-profit community service group operated tournament we have grown to become a valuable asset to the community, being backed by over 120 sponsors from our business community.
The Chattanooga Bass Association supports such groups as The Chattanooga Marine and Trade Association, local boat shows, marine and tackle dealers. We are at times involved in helping the Shriners, Wal-Mart Dream for Kids tournament and other charity groups. The Chattanooga Bass Association also works with our State and County Governments as well as local business and other organizations. The Chattanooga Bass Association along with the efforts of the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency was responsible for the stocking of Florida strain large mouth bass in Chickamauga Lake, Which now has become one of the top lakes in the South to come and fish.
Today we have emerged into a $130,000.00 operation enhancing the economic growth of the Chattanooga area, involving hundreds of local tournament fishermen while serving to preserve our lakes, rivers and streams for future generations to enjoy.
